Christian persecution is any hostility experienced because of identification with Christ. This definition includes not only violence but also hostile attitudes, words, and actions, as well as all the pressures Christians experience because of their faith in Jesus.
The situation varies from country to country, ranging from rejection and isolation to denial of access to basic needs such as water, food and healthcare. Some face violent abuse, imprisonment, and even death.
