The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the schedule for the 2025 Zonal Conference to elect a new Zonal Working Committee (ZWC) and ex-officio national members of the party.
According to a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Monday, the North East, South East and South South regional conference will be held on February 22, 2025.
Mr Ologunagba also said the appeal to the regional council will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025
He said the North Central and South West zonal meetings will be held on March 22, 2025 and March 26 will be reserved for appeals.
Mr Ologunagba said the schedule was approved by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC).
He said the decision of the NWC at its 592nd meeting was in line with the expiration of the terms of office of the current zonal executives of South-South, South-East, South-West, North-Central and North-East zones.
Mr Ologunagba said the sale of all ZWC positions and state ex-officio forms for South-South, South-East, South-West, North-Central and North-East would begin on November 18 and end on December 18.
“The last date for submission of already purchased and completed expressions of interest and nomination forms to the Directorate General for Organization and Mobilization is Friday, January 17, 2025.
“Screening of applicants will be held at Zonal Headquarters on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Screening Appeal at Zonal Headquarters – Saturday, February 1, 2025. Publication of cleared candidates – February 12, 2025 Wednesday,” he said.
Mr. Ologunagba added that the publication of the list of delegates will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
He advised all aspirants to contact the General Directorate of Organizational Mobilization or Directorate of Finance of the PDP National Secretariat for applicable fees and other inquiries.
He called on all leaders, key stakeholders and party members to remain united and continue working for the progress of the party.
