The woman, who calls herself Miss Queen, implicates Burna Boy and his team in Speed Darlington’s disappearance.
She claims that Speed’s gatekeeper notified the family that her son was picked up, and that it may be related to a video Speed made about Burna Boy a few weeks ago. .
“His gatekeeper called my family to inform them that there was a video made about Burna Boy and published on the internet,” she explained. “Please, Speed is my only son. I am asking my fellow Nigerians to please help me ask Burna Boy,” she said.
Meanwhile, local activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju revealed via ‘X’ that Speed Darlington is in the custody of the Nigerian Police. “We just spent the last 30 minutes with Speed Darlington, who was arrested in Lagos last Friday, moved from place to place and was finally taken to Abuja, where he has been in custody ever since. I can confirm that the petition against him was written by Burna Boy.”
In a video about the disappearance, Speed Darlington hints that there may be more to Burna Boy’s 2021 Grammy win for his fifth album, Twice as Tall, than meets the eye. He playfully questioned how much effort (with particular reference to oil) went into winning the award.
The comments are in connection with the recent federal indictment against American rapper, record producer, and record executive Sean John Combs (also known by his stage name Diddy).
