Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister and former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has accused his successor, Siminalai Hubala, of sponsoring the Action Peoples Party (APP) in the just-concluded local government elections in the state. denounced.
Naija News reports that Governor Hubala was sworn in as the local government chairman of Rivers State on Monday.
Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, also attended the event.
APP won 22 of the 23 presidential positions in the election.
Ahead of the polls, Mr Hubala, a member of the PDP, said he was the “biggest loser” as his party was not on the ballot paper.
Mr Wike, however, alleged that Mr Hubala sponsored APP for the elections.
“Today, people are saying, ‘We punished Wike, he went against the party,'” he said on Channels TV on Tuesday. I did not engage in anti-party activities. We said we must stand for equity, equity, and justice.
“What happened today? The host of APP is the governor (Tomihara). The chairman of the (PDP) governors’ forum attended the swearing-in ceremony.”
