Presidential Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila on Saturday said Nigerians should look forward to seeing results from President Bola Tinubu’s efforts over the past 17 months. Gbajabiamila maintained that a “well-rested” Mr Tinubu was ready to take the country to “cruising altitude”.The Chief of Staff stated this when the President returned to Abuja on Saturday night from a two-week working holiday in the United Kingdom and France. “He came back to continue where he left off in terms of putting policies in place and making sure things were done right and that we were moving in the right direction.“He is the captain of the plane and he is striving to reach the cruising level and that is exactly where we aim to be. And in a matter of time, Nigerians will reap the fruits of his labor and our labor. “Let everyone be hopeful and hopeful. We are living with renewed hope. The President is returning to Nigeria to continue the good work,” he explained. Tinubu’s A330 jet arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at about 7:20pm on Saturday. He was received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr George Akume and other senior government officials.According to a statement issued by the Special Assistant to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President left Abuja on Wednesday, October 2 for a two-week vacation. “President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja today for the United Kingdom to begin a two-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” Onanuga said.”He plans to use the next two weeks as a working holiday and vacation to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.””He plans to return home when his leave expires,” the statement said.On October 11, President Tinubu left the United Kingdom for Paris, France, on an “important mission,” his senior special assistant for political and other affairs, Ibrahim Masari, said in a tweet on Friday.Gbajabiamila further explained that the President needs some time off from work. ”The work he’s been doing for the last year and a half requires a break and he left, but now he’s back. He’s well rested and rejuvenated.””It was a working holiday anyway, so he was working and resting at the same time.
