The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, has appealed to party leaders in Ondo State to work together towards winning the November 16 governorship election.
Ganduje made the appeal at the South West APC Governors Forum Stakeholders Meeting held in Akure on Sunday. He said all the party bigwigs from the region and the national level were visiting the state to show their support and determination for the elections.
The APC National Chairman said he was encouraged by the large number of party leaders in the state who attended the meeting, urging them to forget everything that happened in the primaries and support the party’s candidates.
“Our mandate is to assure you that the party is firmly behind you and that all stakeholders at the national level are aligned to ensure a successful election in Ondo State.
“We are here to motivate, energize and support you that this election and success in this election is a challenge that must be met.
“We are expecting 90% support in the next election. Make sure you know who is voting at the polling station. I assure you that Tinubu is our best leader,” he said. Ta.
In his address, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State also expressed happiness at the unity of the party in Ondo State. Mr Sanwo-Olu praised the sportsmanship of all the candidates in the April 20 party primaries and appealed to them to “unite for the victory of the APC in the November elections”.
Governor Abiodun Oyebunji of Ekiti State has called on stakeholders to work towards the success of the party’s candidates as this is the first election to be held in President Bolatinubu’s region.
Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa, the APC candidate for the election, in his address thanked the leaders and assured them that all proposals at the meeting would be taken up.
Also, Ondo State APC Chairman, Ade Adetihin, said, “There is no faction or division in Ondo State and the party is more united.” we are one. ”
