Nigeria’s first female police minister, Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, has been transferred to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
President Bora Tinubu reshuffled his cabinet on Wednesday, dismissing four people, including Minister of Women Ujuken Ohanenye.

The newly appointed ministers who require Senate confirmation are Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, who has been named the new Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nentawe Irwatoda has replaced the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Beta Edu.

Raised in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim was born in Plateau State.
She attended Arwa Nursery School and Jabi Primary School. She is from Keffi, Nasarawa State.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Abuja. At the age of 21, she earned two master’s degrees: a Master’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Webster University in the United Kingdom.

Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim worked as a senior sales director at Mary Kay Cosmetics in the UK.
The politician and businessman previously served as Special Adviser on Strategic Communications to former Education Minister Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and was appointed as a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council in 2019.

Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim was relieved of his position as head of the Anti-Trafficking Agency in May 2021, after serving in the position for five months, and transferred to another agency, the Federal National Commission for Refugees, Immigration and Internally Displaced Persons.
