Veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu has revealed that she will never be able to provide free services to her home state of Abia.
The 61-year-old actress said in a recent interview with Radio Nollywood that the decision was prompted by the Abia State government’s “lack of support” during the health crisis in 2012.
The movie star, who has been battling a kidney-related illness, said he had “made a promise” that the state must generously compensate him for future medical services.
“I personally said there was nothing that would call me out of my state to go for free,” she said.
“They paid me through the nose for me to be there. I am from Arochukwu Local Government of Abia State.”
She further disclosed that she received assistance from the Lagos government through a woman whom she described as her “favorite actress.”
“What helped me when I needed help was the fame I had through the roles I played in the series at the time," she added.
“The person who called the Lagos State government did so because I was her favorite actor. So when she heard that I was collapsing, she called the government and they saved my life. Because she loves me.”
