Controversial music producer Sanclef said Afrobeats superstar Davido is being disrespected too much as he tries hard to look good in everyone’s books.
As reported by TheNewsGuru.com (TNG), the music producer made this statement after Davido and content creator Koti EO allegedly ordered him not to post an interview video he had filmed with the singer over the weekend. He reportedly made the remark in response to the controversy surrounding his summoning of the team. with the singer after first giving her permission.
“They (Davido’s team) agreed to let me re-edit this video and now they say I shouldn’t post the video for reasons I still don’t understand. I’m not afraid of anyone. But you’re wise enough not to go into a fight unequipped.
“I’ve filmed a lot of artists, but in the end I was told not to post the video. If you don’t want to be seen as you are, don’t come to my show. Take your time. Stop wasting it,” she wrote.
In response, skit creator Nasty Black expressed displeasure at the level of disrespect towards DMW’s bosses, saying it was “going too far”.
He wrote in X: “The disrespect David is receiving is too great. People just want to help people and that’s it.”
In response, Sanclef pointed out that Nigerian rapper Olamide helps many people and will never be taken lightly. He further added that Davido brought disrespect on himself and should not have played the victim.
His post reads: “Olamide has helped more people than Davido so why don’t people disrespect him? Davido brought it on himself! Always trying to look good in everyone’s eyes, Things like this happen. You help based on expectations! I love him so much, he just needs to stop playing the victim.”
