The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Mr. Olatunbosun Oyintiloe, is shocked by the large number of votes his party will garner over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition parties in the upcoming November 16 governorship election. He said this while addressing reporters in Osogbo on Sunday.
Mr Oyintiloe, a member of the APC National Campaign Stakeholder Engagement Committee, boasted that the party was poised to record a landslide victory.
He said the party’s candidate, Lucky Ayedatiwa, is visionary and has achieved much through people-oriented policies and programs.
He appealed to voters to vote in large numbers for the APC to shock the opposition as it affirms the quality leadership of the incumbent governor.
In his words, “There is no doubt that the elections will be held free, fair and peacefully and the APC will win by a landslide.
“Voters will never allow the state to go backwards, that is why they will peacefully vote for APC.
“There is no magic about it. APC will win big and the opposition will be shocked.
“Our committee, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, will carefully address the challenges ahead.”
Mr Oyintiloe, however, appealed to voters to behave peacefully and orderly before and after the election.
He said elections should not be seen as a matter of life and death, adding: “All political gladiators participating in elections should follow the rules of the game.”
