Dr. Boniface Anibonam, Founder and Life Member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), on Tuesday called the Board of Trustees of the party to discuss its recent policies on November 8, 2024. announced that it would convene. The decision follows the judgment of the Abia High Court which directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to transfer the management and administration of the NNPP to the BoT in Annie Bonham.
The court’s decision is said to be a significant shift in the party’s leadership, with the party’s founder Mr Anibonam and his team officially appointed in charge of strategic decisions.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Anibonam, who is also the founder of the National Association of Government Accredited Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), expressed the board’s intention to comply with the court’s “compelling order”.
He emphasized the importance of the upcoming conference in shaping the future direction of the NNPP and ensuring compliance with the court’s judgment.
The November 8th meeting will bring together key stakeholders within the NNPP to discuss the impact of the ruling and plan strategic steps for the party’s future as it charts a new direction under Anibonam’s leadership. is expected to come out.
Anyibonam on Tuesday maintained that the party’s presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, remains suspended from the party.
