Abia State Governor Alex Otti has claimed that opposition lawmakers are gathering in Abuja and other locations with the aim of misleading Abia people through a misinformation campaign targeting his administration.

He said they are reportedly producing fake and sometimes genuine documents to fuel their propaganda.
Otti declined to name specific individuals, but noted that similar efforts in the past have consistently failed to gain support among the public, and said the administration will continue to balk at such actions. He emphasized that there was no.
“Let me leave a word to the so-called rebels who are gathering in Abuja and other places with the sole purpose of deceiving the people and distracting the government.
“They have perfected the strategy of producing large quantities of fake and sometimes genuine documents for false narratives and propaganda,” he said.
Drawing inspiration from Biblical references, Otti reassured the audience that such gatherings would not survive. “As the Bible guarantees, these gatherings are not of God and will scatter. Do not take the people of Abia for granted,” he warned.
The governor further challenged the opposition, questioning their chances of success considering the improvements his administration has brought to Abia within the past 18 months.
“You’ve done this before and failed. Why do you think you’ll succeed this time, considering all the changes that have taken place in this state in the last 18 months? A word to the wise: That’s enough,” Otti concluded.
