The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Umaru Damagumu, has warned supporters of the party in Ondo State not to succumb to intimidation in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election.
He called on party members to boldly vote and defend the bill until the final vote.
Damagumu said this at the last election rally of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Agboola Ajayi, in Akure on Thursday.
The national chairman said Saturday would be the day to decide the fate of the state through voting and called on the people of the state to vote “to oust the All Progressives Congress (APC) from government.”
According to him, many achievements were recorded when the PDP was in power in the state.
He cited Oyo and Osun states as states that have undergone significant changes since the PDP government, saying that if the PDP wins Saturday’s elections, poverty and suffering in the states will end.
He said the APC-led government in the state lacked policies and ideas, leaving the state behind in terms of development.
Attendees at the event include the Chairman of the 2024 PDP Ondo State Governorship National Campaign Council, Governor Ademola Adeleke; Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, Governor Diri Duoye of Bayelsa State, Governor Caleb Muftwangu of Plateau State and Senator Abiodun Olukemi.
Others include the Chairman of the 2024 State PDP Electoral Campaign Council Governorship Election, Dr. Eddy Olafeso, and the Executive Secretary of the Electoral Council, Mr. Clement Faboyde.
