The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has expressed confidence of winning back the state from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 elections.
Naija News reports that the assurance was made by the party’s Reconciliation Committee, chaired by Senator Muhammed Manna.
The Adamawa APC has recently faced internal divisions, leading to the emergence of factions within the party.
In response, the APC national secretariat set up a reconciliation committee to promote unity and rebuild the party’s strength in the state.
The eight-member committee includes Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Giray, and Binta Masi, as well as prominent figures such as Yusuf Buba Yakubu, Dr. Brigitte Zidon, and Issa Baba. There is.
Senator Mana told reporters after a closed-door meeting held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday night that he would follow the directives of APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to resolve internal disputes and unite party members. He emphasized the commission’s mission.
Mana stressed that the focus of the committee is to address grievances arising from the party’s primaries and general elections.
He acknowledged that some members feel marginalized or underrepresented for their contributions and pledged to work towards reconciliation and inclusivity.
“Adamawa is a very important state for APC and we want to ensure that this state returns to its previous position. Now we come back and unite with everyone in the state Tell them it’s time to do it.
“As you know, our crisis began with the primary and general elections. Those who lost the elections, those who believe that their contributions to the country were not rewarded fairly.
“We want to go and plead with them to ensure that the party is unified overall under the flag of the APC broomstick and the national chairman has tasked us to go and fulfill that duty.”
The committee also plans to strengthen grassroots links by involving party members at the most local levels, such as units and districts, to rebuild the party’s structure and prepare for the future.
“In addition to appealing to party members, we will go to the grassroots, unit level, local government level and ward level to ensure that everyone buys in and joins the group.
“Our goal is to create a platform for unity and develop the next generation of leaders,” Mana added.
