Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Youth Deputy Leader Timothy Osadore has been fired by the Federal Government for asking Northern political leaders to abandon presidential ambitions until President Bola Tinubu completes his second term. He blamed George Acme.
Akume on Sunday urged northern politicians preparing to run for president in 2027 to put aside their ambitions and wait until 2031, when President Tinubu completes his second term in office, leaving a hornet’s nest behind. I want you to remember that I disturbed the .
In an interview with Punch, Mr. Osadore shared his thoughts on Mr. Akume’s remarks, claiming that the AGF was trying to undermine the ambitions of others for the benefit of Mr. Tinubu.
Terming the statement as unfortunate, the PDP leader was furious that Mr. Akume is receiving benefits from the current government.
He lamented that Akume was the one leading a sheltered life and was keeping Tinubu away from the reality of what was happening in Nigeria.
He said, “Such regrettable statements could only be made by those who are profiting from the mismanagement of the current president led by President Bola Tinubu.
“I don’t blame George Acme. He has always lived a privileged life, from being a senator to governor to now serving as head of the federal government. I am convinced that they are the ones who separated President Tinubu from reality. They separated him from the current reality in Nigeria.
“I don’t blame Mr. George Akume because I don’t know when he last visited the market in Benue and of course other parts of Nigeria. They don’t realize that people are suffering.”
Osadore said that by 2027, Nigerians will have the opportunity to repair and rebuild the country.
“It is very unfortunate for anyone to try to stifle the ambitions of others, regardless of what part of the country they come from. We are committed to good governance. We are committed to having the best people represent us all. No one can stop another person’s ambition.
“No one has the right, and no one should, to have such powers for themselves just because they profit from every corner of the system. In 2027, we will rescue and rebuild Nigeria. , our mission is to restore it.
“Come 2027, Nigerians will have the power to rebuild and rebuild their country. Therefore, all well-meaning Nigerians, regardless of where they come from, are urged to come forward. Look out for the best among them, support them, whoever comes along. It is our sincere prayer that Nigerians who have endured the monstrous situation called APC governance for the past 8 to 12 years will rally around that man and make Nigeria healthy. It is my sincere hope that it can be preserved and reconstructed,” he added.
