The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the South-South has denied allegations of instability and disunity among its members, characterizing these claims as “false claims” by its opponents.
At a meeting with South-South chairmen and others held in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, the party reaffirmed that there is no crisis within the party framework.
In a statement jointly signed by the South-South NNPP State Chairman, the party maintained that persons such as Mr. Boniface Anibonam, Mr. Agbo Major, Mr. Ojini Olapoji are not recognized as party members, adding that they He emphasized that he had been suspended and expelled for the violation.

The chairs further explained the party’s official colors and symbols, which were shown to be red and white, with academic caps atop books and the letters “NNPP” prominently displayed.
In response to concerns regarding the Kwankwasiyya Movement, the Chairmen characterized the Kwankwasiyya Movement as an important element of the NNPP and emphasized that their dedication and loyalty to the principles and efforts of the NNPP is of great importance.
Allegations that the Kwankwasiyya movement is a threat to the party or that it is trying to seize power are completely baseless and advance the narrative propagated by the party’s opponents.
The South-South chairmen pledged allegiance to the NNPP and Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso while rejecting the activities of Mr Anyebonam, Major and their “exiled supporters”.
They urged party members to remain loyal and focused, saying that the acts of distraction by former party members were “pranks” by operatives seeking to destabilize the party, as seen in the country’s opposition parties. It was dismissed as a ‘conspiracy’.
