Former House Minority Leader and former Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker, Toby Okechukwu has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Naija News reported that Mr. Okechukwu was recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Project Executive Director of the South East Development Commission.
In his resignation letter dated December 6, 2024, addressed to the PDP Chairman of Owerri/Amori/Ugbo/Ogugu Constituency in Augu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Mr. Okechukwu stated that he would be able to serve his constituents during his political term. He expressed his gratitude to the party for the support. career.
Mr. Okechukwu represented Aninri/Augu/Oji River Federal Constituency in Enugu State in the 7th, 8th and 9th National Assembly.
In his letter, he highlighted his accomplishments in various leadership roles in the House of Commons.
The letter states: “I hereby notify my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party and express my sincere gratitude to the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party for allowing me to represent Aninli/Augu/Ojigawa Federal Constituency in the 7th, 8th and 8th constituencies. ” and the 9th National Assembly.
“As the Vice-Chairman of the Ethics and Privileges Committee, the Chairman of the Business Committee and the Deputy Minority Leader, we are the Second Niger Bridge, the Abuja-Kano Road, the Lagos-Ibadan Road.
