The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) has summoned former Benue Governor, Samuel Orthom, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and several others in the midst of deepening the crisis within the party.

To address these complaints, the PDP National Labor Commission (NWC) established a Disciplinary Committee on August 21, 2024, to receive petitions, investigate the claims, and to the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) ) recommended sanctions.
However, almost five months after its establishment, the party’s leadership struggles worsened.

The committee reviews five petitions
According to Ikimi, the PDP Disciplinary Committee has considered five petitions filed so far, leading to the decision to summon Ortom, Anyanwu and others.
In a statement issued to journalists, the committee said that while several petitions against top NWC members have been pending to avoid hampering ongoing settlement efforts, Ortom, Anyanwu, and Ten other people said they were set up for the investigation.
