Nigerian police have confirmed the arrest of dancer Lil Smart, the real name of Idow Smart Emmanuel, in order to spread false information about cyberstalking, cyberbullying and singer Naira Marley.
Lil Smart was arrested last month in a petition filed by a law firm at his residence at Megamound Estate in Aja, Lagos., according to a police statement. Police also recovered important evidence related to the crime during their arrest.
The investigation revealed that Lil Smart used her Instagram handle @lilsmart_ to spread misinformation and to create claims that she was accused of being accused of being accused of being accused of being attacked.
The arrests have caused widespread responses, many of which have been closely followed development. Famous Nollywood producer Stanley-on-top previously revealed Lil Smart’s arrest and detention, causing a stir on social media.
A police statement states that “A operative from the National Cybercrime Division of Police, Nigeria Police, has been arrested following a petition filed by the law firm.
