Former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has said that his successor, Ademola Adeleke, did not establish Ilesa University in Osun State.
Naija News reports that while visiting Owa Obokun’s palace to commemorate the death of Oba Adekunle Aromolaran with the community, Adeleke assured the Traditional Council of the establishment of Ilesa University. It is understood that he also said that he had secured funding. Released for takeoff.
However, during his visit on Monday, Mr. Oyetola said that Mr. Adeleke lied because it was his administration that established the university and that it had also obtained approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) before establishing the governing council. He said it was on.
Oyetola, who was represented by the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji, said the governor lied about the establishment of the university and distorted verifiable facts about the university. He said it was a prank.
He said: “There is no debate about this. The Oyetola regime established Ilesa University. Again, there is no controversy. If anyone has anything to object to, please deny it with facts and not with propaganda methods. It is also on record that while in government it was the Oyetola administration that cooperated with our team to establish the university, and before we established the board, it was the Oyetola administration. It is also on record that the University Commission (NUC) approved the establishment of the university for the national team.
“It should be remembered that no one constitutes a board without the approval of the National Universities Commission. Therefore, if it is undisputed that the Oyetola government constituted the board, then the concocted insinuations has no basis in logic and rationality.
“We are confident that the people of Ijesaland can testify to these facts. We have verifiable documentation for this and will submit it to the public domain when the time comes. It’s unfortunate that there are still people who take that attitude.”
