The Nigerian Fintech Association, an industry-led organization representing and promoting the interests of Nigeria’s fintech sector, has announced the line-up of prominent local and international speakers for the 7th Nigeria Fintech Week. Scheduled to be held from October 8th to 10th, 2024 at Landmark Center, Lagos.
Nigeria Fintech Week is Africa’s largest fintech event. Over the past six editions, the event has brought together over 20,000 attendees and over 500 brands and representatives from over 50 countries to explore trends, foster collaboration, and explore Africa’s dynamic and rapidly evolving Fintech portfolio. It has shaped the future of the tech industry.
This year’s theme, “Positioning Africa’s FinTech Ecosystem to Accelerate Inclusive Growth,” highlights the critical role of financial technology solutions in driving much-needed economic expansion and development. Masu. Topics include corporate governance, generative AI, smart regulation, digital assets, risk management and cybersecurity/fraud management, digital and economic inclusion, and other related topics.
This year’s event will be a hybrid event (online and in-person) and is expected to attract more than 20,000 attendees, 100 speakers, and 50 exhibitors from more than 80 countries.
The event will include an investor forum where startups can pitch to selected investors, a job fair for interaction between employers, recruiters and job seekers, and one-on-one meetings with regulators. It also includes opportunities.
Rodger Werkhoven, Independent Creative Director at OpenAI, has been selected as one of the keynote speakers.

Other confirmed speakers are Mr. Temi Popoola, Group CEO, Nigerian Exchange Group, Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC); Dr. Emomotimi Agama, Secretary General of the Committee, and Mr. Temitope Ajanaku of the Group. Nimide Falasinu, CFO, Xpress Payments, Vice President, Client Experience, Zest Payment, and Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General/CEO, National Information Technology Development Authority.
