Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, has hinted that he may serve as Labor Party’s Peter Obi’s deputy in the upcoming 2027 elections.
In a trending video clip on the X microblogging platform, the former Kano State governor spoke in Hausa language and expressed his intention to consider the vice post if certain conditions are met.
Mr Kwankwaso maintained that he believed he was politically more important than Mr Obi, but that he was willing to hold meaningful discussions with the LP leader to establish a potential agreement. Showed.
Peter Obi secured a significant vote in the 2023 presidential election, winning a majority in 11 states and Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). He received approximately 6,101,533 votes and placed third in the election.
In contrast, Mr Kwankwaso gained significant support in his home state of Kano, winning in 38 of the 44 local government areas, receiving a total of 1,496,687 votes.
