the Motion Picture Association, a Hollywood lobbying and advocacy group; has appointed Emily Antonis as president and managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, effective January 1. She will succeed Stan McCoy, who is stepping down from the position after more than a decade.
MPA represents the interests of members Paramount Global, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Discovery, Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, and Netflix.

Anthony will be based in Brussels and report to Gail McKinnon, senior vice president for global policy and government.

He left MPA and returned to his hometown in the Washington, DC area.
Prior to joining MPA in 2017, Anthony was Director of Legal and Public Affairs at the European Commercial Television Association. Prior to joining ACT, he served as in-house counsel at Viacom. She started her career as an IP lawyer specializing in copyright and media law at a law firm in Brussels. Anthony studied law at the Universities of Leuven and Antwerp and obtained additional master’s degrees in both European Law and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Brussels.
