Former senator Ishak Abo says there is a solution to the country’s fuel crisis.
Mr Abbo revealed that he had sent a proposal to President Bola Tinubu that petrol prices could drop to ₦480 in 2025 if the president approves the proposal.
He said this while addressing reporters in Yola on Monday.
He said he had developed a comprehensive strategy to reduce the price of petrol in Nigeria from the current price of over ₦1,000 per liter to ₦480 per liter in just five months to provide relief to Nigerians overwhelmed by the high cost of living.
The senator’s statement came on the heels of the recent national power grid collapse that plunged North Korea into complete darkness for almost three weeks.
Mr Abbo criticized successive Adamawa State governments for failing to collaborate with the Federal Government to upgrade the Kiri Dam in Sheren LGA into a power dam capable of generating at least 35MW of electricity for Adamawa State and surrounding areas. appealed to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri: Rather than building flyovers, we focus on projects that directly concern local residents.
“People are suffering and dying of hunger every day, and poverty and lack of legitimate employment opportunities have led to an increase in crime, especially among young people.
“It breaks my heart to see people walking around looking for food for their families,” he said.
