The Labor Party, led by Julius Habre, has announced that the party’s national youth leader is Prince Kennedy Ahanotu.
In a statement signed on Monday, Mr. Abre and the national secretary of his sect, Alhaji Farouk Ibrahim, warned the people against collaborating with Comrade Anslem Elagbe.
The statement said Elagbe’s term as national youth leader will end in 2023.
“The attention of the Labor Party has been drawn to recent publications by some organizations that incorrectly referred to and featured Comrade Anslem Elagbe as the National Youth Leader of the Labor Party.
“We hereby inform the nation that Comrade Anselm Elagbe will no longer be the National Youth Leader from 2023 onwards.
“The public is hereby advised and warned to desist from patronizing Mr. Anselm Elagbe as the National Youth Leader of the Labor Party.
“The Labor Party accepts no liability of any kind on behalf of the party for its dealings with Mr. Anselm Elagbe,” it reads.
The second statement advised the public to sympathize with Kennedy Ahanotu on the party’s issues relating to the youth.
The following was written there: “We write to respectfully introduce Prince Kennedy Ahanotu as the National Youth Leader of the Labor Party.
“I request you to cooperate with Prince Kennedy Ahanotu on all issues and matters related to our party that concern the youth.”
