Segun Sowunmi, leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a group of zombies.
According to a report in Naija News, Sowunmi appeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today and claimed that APC is not a political party.
Mr Sowunmi said the APC was deluding itself by thinking it was a political party.
He also said that while the APC may be a special vehicle to contest elections, the happenings within the party are considered humorous.
A former governorship aspirant in Ogun State wondered when was the last time the APC held a different parliament than the PDP.
He said, “PDP just held congresses across the country and I cannot remember the last time our rival APC said something like that.”
“We are struggling to uphold our democratic principles, but it is not peace in the grave. People have a choice and they will go to court.
“The APC must be deceiving itself if it thinks it is a political party. Although it may be a government organization and a vehicle for special purposes to contest elections; It would be funny for them to wake up in the morning and someone throws out the chairman and they are told to leave.” And they hire someone else.
