The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have expressed satisfaction with the preparations of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for Saturday’s elections.
Representatives of major political parties in Owo Local Government Area commended INEC for its openness in preparing for the elections.
Speaking at the INEC office near Ikale Junction in Owo, a PDP returning officer and party agent for Ward 4 Ijebu 1, Dotun Ogunbodede, who simply identified himself as Mr. Boboi, said the distribution of the supplies was smooth and encouraged.
“We are satisfied with the distribution of materials. All agents in the voting department are ready for tomorrow,” Boboi said.
They expressed hope that the process would be free and fair and that voters would have a choice.
“With favorable polling, our preparation, and our relationship with voters, we are fully prepared to unseat the incumbent. It also resists attempts.
“We are very confident of winning the election,” Ogunbodede said.
Meanwhile, the Ijebu 1, Ward 4 Agent of the APC, Mr. Olalekan, expressed satisfaction over the distribution of materials, saying, “The election will be held peacefully and the APC will win.”
