The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims that its Adamawa State governorship candidate, Senator Aishatu Ahmed also known as Binani, has been suspended.
The party said in a statement on Thursday night that Mustafa Salih, its national vice-chairman for the Northeast, had directed those behind the “false” narrative to be identified and made to answer for their actions. .
“Our findings show that this story will solve all problems and unite the party in the state, our leader Moul Nuhu Ribadu (NSA) and Comrade Mustafa Salih (North East State Vice-Chairman) ) is clearly orchestrated by those who are dissatisfied with the current efforts of the state,” state leadership said in a statement.
Speaking further, the party pointed out that it had received written confirmation from Yola South Local Government Area that it had not suspended Binani.
