The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) lacks the political structure to succeed in Anambra State.
The party called on the APC to bury its ambition to win the state elections.
The APGA issued the warning on Friday in response to a call by the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who called on party supporters to bring Anambra under the APC umbrella from the 2025 governorship election.
APGA National President, Sulai Ezeokengwa, said at a press conference that the APC is not a political party in Anambra State, adding that it has no organization or elected officials.
Supporting this view, Victor Oye, the immediate past national chairman and current member of the party’s board of directors, criticized Ganduje’s ambitions, saying: Is he talking about Anambra’s victory despite being an NNPP player?
He said, “Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second term has already been secured due to the Supreme Court’s judgment affirming the leadership of APGA.”
