Chris Brown recently became the latest American artist to sell out an iconic African venue, with the Grammy Award-winning RnB star selling out South Africa’s largest stadium in two hours.
Before Chris Brown, several global superstars have toured the African continent, including Nigeria.

Queen Bee performed in several African countries in 2006, including Nigeria, where she performed the country’s majestic national anthem. She has also performed in Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa.

The Roc Nation boss was one of the stars who headlined the 2006 This Day Music Festival in Lagos, Nigeria. The festival also had Beyoncé, Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Missy Elliott in its lineup.

The dancehall legend is one of Nigeria’s most influential foreign artistes. He has collaborated with Nigerian star Timaya and recently with Young John. In 2009, he wowed Nigerian fans at a Guinness Music concert.

The American rapper returned to Nigeria for the Kora Awards in 2007 and made out with Eedris Abdulkareem on stage.
