On the possibility of a controversial National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, advocated by factions loyal to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Oyinlola said it was part of the commission’s mandate. I made it clear that it wasn’t.
He said: “The NEC meeting was not part of our discussions. My focus was on resolving issues within the NWC, and I am happy to say that my work is done."
An NWC member, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the reconciliation process had been successfully completed.
