Ceejay Mark appears on the Sarah Kallay Spill it Show on stage with Sierra Leone music sensation and CEO of Mojo’s Entertainment, Mr. Hasan Daramy, to discuss his journey to his hit single ‘IF’ in Nigeria. I made it clear. After a long hiatus from the industry, Ceejay Mark’s musical talents are back. Ceejay began his career in 1997 as part of an underground RnB/hip-hop group known as Word-Up-Society. He then became a member of the Paradise family in 1999 and later became a member of Conscious Knowledge, which is comprised of fellow artists K-. Man and Harold Bourne. After spending the past decade creating a successful and deafening sound in Sierra Leone, Ceejay Mark traveled to Nigeria earlier this year to collaborate and network with foreign artists in Nigeria. Revealing his activities in Nigeria, Ceejay talked about how it was an opportunity for him to meet the CEO of Boom Play. The app is one of the fastest growing online streaming music platforms. He continued that his stay in Nigeria was fruitful as he was able to gain more knowledge about music in the technological age. I first came to Nigeria in 2010 and what I gained from this visit was much more than what I knew about music back then…” said Ceejay. According to him, this new era of music is all about numbers and his visit was to meet with key players in the Nigerian entertainment industry to tally numbers on streaming platforms. Ceejay Mark’s newly released song “IF” has an online presence like other major songs in the industry. Within hours, days, weeks, and even two months of its release date, the song had thousands of views on YouTube and millions of combined views on other streaming platforms.
Adding to his network in the industry, Ceejay Mark was spotted competing with Hermes in the Level Up final of Big Brother Nigeria.
