The Osun State branch of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) advised supporters to ignore the Court of Appeals’ decision that restored the chairman of the looted local government.
According to Naija News, Osun PDP Chairman Sunday Bisi said the state’s local government elections scheduled for February 22 will be held.
In a statement Monday, Bisi dismissed the opposition’s stance that the Court of Appeals’ ruling had halted the February 22 local government elections.
He assured that the party was energized by the legal department and became involved in action in order to defend democracy and good people in Osun State to appeal the ruling in the apex court.
The PDP further ensures that nothing has changed in the ongoing preparations for future local government elections, as the state’s ruling party view remained the only panacea to meet the aspirations of people in rural communities. I did.
