Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has said that the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umaru Damagumu and his paymasters will soon be teaching them rudimentary politics.
Melayi, through a post shared on his X account on Monday, said Damagum had not learned lessons from the past primaries held in Port Harcourt and Abuja.
Meray wrote: “Mr. Damagum, his paymasters could be taught elementary politics. The lessons of the Port Harcourt and Abuja presidential primaries are yet to be learned. It is too early to decide the day at noon. Dino・Senator Melaye.”
Naija News reports that the PDP has been embroiled in a leadership crisis since the sacking of former Acting National Chairman, Ijortia Ayu.
Recently, a faction of the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) suspended Mr. Damagumu along with the party’s National Public Relations Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba and the National Legal Adviser, Mr. Kamaludeen Ajibade.
However, a Federal High Court in Abuja has restrained the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) from removing Mr. Damagum as acting national chairman of the party.
