Plateau State Governor Caleb Muthofang has received Plateau members of parliament at his residence at the Old Government House, Jos.
Mutfan revealed that the conference aims to coordinate efforts to rebuild the country for the common benefit of the people.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the governor to brief federal legislators on his administration’s vision to restore Plateau’s lost glory and ensure equitable development across all communities.
Speaking at the meeting, Mutfan emphasized the need for synergy among cross-party leaders, saying it is essential to realizing the Plateau plan.
“We realized that we cannot move forward on the plateau without unity and cooperation,” he said.
“Today marks a new beginning as the elected representatives of the people from various political parties including the PDP, APC and the Labor Party resolve to work together for the Plateau project.
“The Plateau Project is aimed at developing and moving our state forward.
“This meeting symbolizes our collective determination to bury political differences in the interest of our people.
“I am glad that we were able to have this discussion in a harmonious atmosphere and am confident that it signals a brighter future for Plateau State.
The meeting was attended by several members of Congress including Senator Dickett Plan (Plateau Central) and Senator John Johnson. Mr. Ahmed Idris Wase (Wasseh Federal Constituency, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives), John Daffan (Quanpan/Shendam/Mikan Federal Constituency), Prince Vincent Venman Bulusu (Langtang North-South Federal Constituency), His Royal Highness Ishaya Lal ( Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency), Hon. Mr. Alfred Ilya Ajan (Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency), Daniel Asama (Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency).
