Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has highlighted important achievements of his administration ahead of the expected handover of the government of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Mr. Shaibu highlighted the country’s progress in sports, education, healthcare and infrastructure development, saying these have collectively advanced the Edo state in recent years.
In a post on “There is,” he said.
The Deputy Governor expressed his gratitude to the people of Edo for their continued support, encouragement and cooperation during his tenure.
Scheib said: “Welcome to November, the month of gratitude and transition.
“Looking back on my eight years in office, I am filled with gratitude for the trust that the people of Edo have placed in us. It is an honor to serve as deputy governor.
“As we prepare to take over the reins, I am proud of our achievements, from making Edo State the number one sports destination, to transforming education, revitalizing healthcare and developing infrastructure. Our administration’s slogan, “Make Edo Great Again” (MEGA), is not just a slogan, it has become our guiding principle.
“To the citizens of Edo, thank you for your support, encouragement and cooperation. Your resilience and determination inspire me every day.
“As we transition, we ask you to remain committed to our shared vision of a prosperous, inclusive and vibrant Edo nation. Let us continue to work together to build a brighter future for generations.
“We look forward to a smooth transition and a brighter November from here.”
