Governor Okpeboro of Edo State on Monday approved the appointment of Hon. Gani Audu becomes Chief of Staff.
Naija News reports that the appointment is effective immediately.
This was disclosed in a statement by Okpeboro Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, on Friday.
In an official communication signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Musa Umaru Ikhilor, Mr. Audu’s appointment will help Governor Okpeboro drive meaningful reforms in the state.
“For the information of the general public, especially the good people of Edo State, I hereby announce that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpeboro, has approved the appointment of Prime Minister Johnson, with Gani Audu as Chief of Staff. This appointment is effective immediately,” the official communication said.
My lord. Audu was born on August 18, 1969 and completed his HND from Auchi University of Technology in 1994, PGD in Business Administration from Benson Idahosa University in 2011, and Intelligence and Global Security from Bayes University, Abuja in 2024. received a master’s degree.
My lord. Audu was elected Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Council from 2004 to 2010. From 2015 to 2023, he was elected to the Edo State House of Assembly (Etsako West 1st Constituency).
My lord. Audu was the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2020 Edo State governorship election.
