The Edo State House of Assembly on Monday approved Governor Okpeboro to appoint 20 special advisers to support his administration.
Additionally, Parliament nominated Mr. Emmanuel Okoyebah as Secretary of Finance.
The Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilol, conveyed these requests in a letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
According to the governor’s letter, the appointment of a special advisor and confirmation of Mr. Okoyebolu’s appointment as Treasurer are essential to ensure effective management of national affairs.
It is noteworthy that Congress had previously approved two other commissioners. He appointed Mr. Samson Osagie as the Commissioner for Law and Attorney General and Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole as the Commissioner for Health.
The Edo State House of Assembly, upon resuming its plenary session on Monday, voted to approve Governor Okpeboro’s health commissioner candidate, Mr. Oshiomhole.
