The Edo State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, has confirmed Mr. Emmanuel Okoyebor as the State Treasurer.
The approval followed the nomination sent by Governor Okpeboro on Monday through a letter delivered by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Musa Umar Ikilolu.
The letter stressed that Mr. Okoyebolu’s appointment plays an important role in ensuring efficient management of the state’s finances.
The nomination was reviewed by the House Committee on Rules, Business, and General Government, led by Majority Leader Aiguobal-Egyan.
The committee recommended approval after reviewing the candidates.
During its plenary session on Wednesday, the Assembly approved Mr. Okoyebor’s appointment through a unanimous voice vote, an important step in advancing the state’s governance priorities.
