Both are scheduled to take place in 2024, the first time Ekiti Days will be held in Abuja, an event designed to celebrate the rich culture, diversity and tourism potential of Ekiti State.
The event is organized by the Ekiti State Diaspora Relations Office and will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Tobix Recreational Park, Abuja from 3:00 pm.
The gathering is expected to bring together indigenes of Ekiti State living in Abuja to promote unity, highlight the state’s cultural heritage and showcase tourism services to a wide audience.
Attendees will enjoy vibrant musical exhibitions, cultural performances, exhibits and panelist sessions discussing important issues related to the development of Ekiti State.
One of the highlights of the event was the Ekiti Heritage Award 2024, which aims to recognize outstanding sons and daughters of the state for their contributions in various fields.
The celebration is being hosted by Aso Multimedia, a renowned event management company, in collaboration with the Ekiti State Director of Diaspora Relations, Mr. Ademola Adelaye Fassbar.
According to Mrs. Fassbar, the event aims to promote unity among the Ekiti indigenous people of Abuja and serve as a platform to advance the development goals of the state.
“We aim to foster national unity and showcase Ekiti State’s potential in development, culture and tourism,” she said.
The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji, will be the special guest of honor.
During the event, he is expected to address participants on his administration’s efforts to transform Ekiti State, with a focus on infrastructure development and educational progress.
Governor Oyebunji will also share insights on the development trajectory of the Nigerian state and its ambition to be a model of excellence among Nigerian states.
The event promises to be a memorable occasion to celebrate the heritage and unity of Ekiti State in the heart of the capital.
