The FT is calling for entries for its fourth annual list of Africa’s fastest growing companies, to be published in May 2025.
The FT, in partnership with data provider Statista, aims to identify the companies with the highest revenue growth between 2020 and 2023. The rankings, along with articles by FT correspondents, are published in weekday editions of the newspaper and in special reports published on FT.com. About the trends identified in the study.
Entries will specifically focus on the types of companies that have performed well despite the challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The previous rankings showed that African companies are growing with healthy revenue growth.
Potential candidates from the following list can forward their names via this website. In all other cases, Statista will contact you.
The deadline to submit entries is January 31, 2025.
Why should companies participate?

Being included in a ranking means that a company’s performance is visible and publicly recognized beyond a specific industry or country. It also has the potential to attract attention from potential partners, customers and investors around the world.
reputation
Business growth usually creates a demand for new employees. Being featured in a ranking increases awareness of you and your potential as an employer.
effective media coverage
Our reporters write about Africa’s outstanding companies, specific sectors and business trends. The rankings will be published in the FT weekday edition’s print report and the full rankings will be published online.
employer branding
Businesses included on the list can use the winning logo for marketing purposes by paying a license fee. Companies can promote their awards for free even if they don’t use the official label.
Which companies are targeted?
To be included in the ranking, your company must meet the following criteria:
Generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2020¹;
Generate at least $1.5 million in revenue in 2023¹;
An independent company (not a subsidiary or branch of any kind).
Headquartered in an African country.
¹ Countries that do not use dollars to express their revenue must provide the average value of the equivalent local currency over the relevant financial year.
How do I register?
1. Online registration
Register with Statista by January 31, 2025. Alternatively, download this form, complete it and send it to ft-africa@statista.com.
2. Check earnings information
Revenue data must be verified using this form. This form must be signed in person by the Managing Director or a member of the Executive Committee (Chief Executive Officer or Chief Financial Officer) and emailed to Statista by January 31, 2025 at ft-africa@statista.com must be sent in.
