Former Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Hope Ikiriko, has denied allegations that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, imposed a monthly deduction of ₦20 million from the local council when he was governor of Rivers State. . allocation.

The rally was held to recognize the contributions of leaders of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in support of the FCT Minister.
The former City Council Chairman refuted claims made in a viral video by former Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Mr. Victor Odili, saying that Mr. Wike signed a petition to approve deductions from local government allocations. He indicated that he was requesting a letter.
Mr. Ikirico said, “Mr. Victor Odili, the former chairman of ONELGA, said that the former governor will submit to us a paper with letterhead to sign the authorization to deduct ₦20 million from the monthly allocation. That’s a complete lie. Nothing like that happened.”
He called on political leaders and supporters to avoid baseless accusations, saying: “What we are seeing today will disappear. Do not insult our elders or create unnecessary controversy. let's."
Mr. Ikirico commended Mr. Nwuche for promoting harmony between PDP and APC members in the region. He characterized the welcome he received during his visit to Wike on December 26 as unparalleled.

Earlier, Mr. Nwuche thanked the leaders of both parties for their dedicated efforts especially during the recent PDP appreciation function held in Ahoada West and Ahoada East.
