The roundtable was attended by prominent figures such as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform Taiwo Oyedele and former CEO of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Mr. Laoye Jaiyola.
The declaration, agreed by all participants, outlined a roadmap for the continued growth of the country’s digital economy, reflecting a strong commitment by both the public and private sectors to turn challenges into opportunities.
Presidential Commission Chairman Taiwo Oyedele stressed that digital transformation should be mobilized within government as a fundamental element.
He expressed his enthusiasm for a forum that fosters dialogue between the private and public sectors, highlighting the opportunity to learn from each other and generate new ideas.
“I am a strong believer in working together because the private sector cannot grow without the support of the public sector. By starting this conversation and maintaining the momentum, we can adopt a digital-first mindset and We can achieve a real transformation in the way Nigeria operates,” he said.
Laoye Jaiyola, former chief executive officer of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, noted that policy formulation is only as effective as the efforts behind it.

He declared that the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, through its Digital Economy Policy Committee, had provided a platform for the private sector to make meaningful contributions towards the advancement of digital solutions.
