Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on his supporters to desist from premature campaigning for the Nasarawa North Senate seat in 2027, stressing his determination to fulfill his current mandate.
Naija News reports that Sule made the appeal on Friday when he received a delegation of traditional rulers and stakeholders in Akwanga Local Government Area in Lafia.
Addressing the gathering, the governor emphasized his determination to focus on implementing development projects in the state during the remaining two years of his administration.
He said: “I am fully committed to making the next two years the most fruitful for Nasarawa State.
“But you know you can’t achieve that if you’re distracted by campaigning. If you see someone campaigning for AA Sule as a senator, that person is working on their own. is.”
Mr Sule also urged elected members of Nasarawa North to prioritize their responsibilities and fulfill their duties rather than engage in premature political campaigns.
“If officials carry out their duties, the public will naturally support them when the time comes, so there will be no need for a long election campaign,” the governor added.

Mr Sule highlighted his administration’s commitment to development and expressed confidence that the recently signed 2025 Budget of over £384bn will pave the way for significant progress.
“We are committed to implementing policies and programs that directly impact the lives of our people. The next two years will define the impact of this administration,” he asserted.

In his address, Mr Samson Ngam Yare of Trung Mada praised Governor Sule’s leadership and development progress, saying his efforts were unprecedented.
Mr Yare said: “Your extensive development initiatives are visible across the state and are unprecedented in the history of Nasarawa.
