So I looked around and couldn’t find any opportunities, and this song came to mind. Then I sang it over and over again, and the more I sang it, the more my spirits rose. ” she said.
“Then I forgot about the song for about two weeks. I kept telling everyone I wrote it about green, but I can’t remember it. Then one day, after praying, the song came back to me. Ta.
“I was standing in the rain as the clouds turned gray. I took a photo of the chaos that occurred just before the heavy rain. Everything was everywhere, the clouds were gray, everything was dark. It’s a promise It didn’t look like, and it was God saying, do not be afraid when it gets dark, for my heavens are open to bless you.
“…I know there was no way on earth that I would ever write this song. Without thinking or trying to be creative, it all came to me in verse one, verse two, chorus, bridge. Because those were the words I had to say to encourage me as I embarked on something that seemed impossible.
“I didn’t have the money, the support, the right people, but I still had a dream. When I look back, next year it will have been 20 years ago, and the truth is that I still have this land. claims to be green, not because I can do it easily, perfectly, without effort, but because God is the God of the harvest, so when I sow in prayer, I must reap in answer. But when you sow with tears, you must reap with joy.”
