Umberle and Rebranding Initiative Nigeria (URNI), a non-governmental organization, has unveiled plans to rebrand Nigeria by working to develop the capacity of the country’s 30 million young entrepreneurs.
The group disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, explaining that part of its strategy to achieve its objectives was to establish tech hubs and skill acquisition centers across Nigeria.
URNI also used this opportunity to reveal its plans to adopt multiple strategies to rebrand Nigeria by instilling patriotic zeal among Nigerian youths.
The organization said that as part of its strategy, there are comprehensive arrangements to celebrate Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and encourage youth to actively contribute to the country’s development.
The paper said Friday’s media engagement in Abuja was to inform journalists about the planned launch of the initiative, scheduled for October 26 in the country’s capital.
“URNI is also committed to ensuring that the movement remains a citizen-led initiative that reflects the voices, hopes and dreams of all Nigerians,” the communiqué reads in part.
“Through continued engagement, support and collaboration, URNI strives to make a lasting impact on Nigeria’s future,” it added.
The communiqué said URNI plans to bring together key national stakeholders, policy makers, business leaders, community influencers and citizens committed to the progress of the nation.
He added: “This launch is a pivotal moment that outlines URNI’s mission to use technology and community engagement to project a positive image of Nigeria and inspire Nigerian patriotism.” .
“The URNI launch will also include the launch of the book “Faces of Patriotism.” The theme of the event is “Rise up, Patriots: Be proud of our country.”
“URNI seeks to promote a new narrative for Nigeria and highlight the country’s strengths, unity and opportunities.
“This initiative aims to shift the national conversation from a focus on challenges to one that celebrates the nation’s potential.
“The movement will focus on fostering a spirit of patriotism, promoting civic responsibility and encouraging citizens to play an active role in reshaping Nigeria’s image at home and abroad.”
Dr. Vincent Ugochukwu, Chairman of the URNI Advisory Board, emphasized the core principles of this initiative in a press conference.
He said: “Our vision at URNI is to foster a nation where Nigerians at home and abroad can celebrate their heritage and actively contribute to the development of the country.
“URNI recognizes Nigeria’s youth as the driving force behind the nation’s rebranding efforts and focuses on their engagement.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chairman of the URNI Advisory Board, Nura Ibrahim Miko, said URNI is committed to empowering young Nigerians to take charge of their own destiny and lead positive change. Ta.
Similarly, the URNI Program Coordinator, Abdulkadir Lawal, described the 30-day National Youth Conference planned by President Bola Tinubu as a welcome development.
He said this would be an opportunity for Nigerian youths to express their views on the country and set an agenda for leaders on how to move the country forward.
