Dr. Steve Ogidan is the new president of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), a group of business professionals.
Speaking in Abuja while assuming the leadership of the association, Dr. Steve Ogidan called for efficient management of petroleum processes to address challenges in the sector.
Ogidan, who is focused on eliminating fuel subsidies, said if the Dangote refinery could obtain enough crude oil in Nigeria, the country could reduce fuel costs by 35% by cutting the impact of the costs associated with fuel imports. He said he was deaf.
He also emphasized the need to revive ailing refineries in the country to improve the domestic oil industry.
He said the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is a global leader in the field of turnarounds and corporate turnarounds, with more than 10,000 members in 54 chapters around the world, and that its chapter, TMA-NIG, is a global leader in the field of turnarounds and corporate restructuring. It is said that efforts have been made continuously to maintain this. With professionalism and excellence, you play a key role in guiding your organization through difficult times.
“At TMA-NIG, we are committed to building on the legacy of our global association by providing Nigerian professionals and businesses with the skills, resources and support they need to meet these evolving challenges. We are working on it.”
“Today, we would like to highlight several points that define our roadmap as we chart a new path for TMA-Nigeria, including capacity and professional development, enhanced collaboration and partnerships, innovation and technology in turnaround management, and more. We would like to share our important initiatives.”
While calling for effective collaboration between the public and private sectors in business development, Ogidan said that under his leadership, TMA will engage with necessary stakeholders to strengthen business management in the country.
Earlier, TMA immediate past president Dele Bello Williams had expressed confidence in Ogidan’s ability to contribute his quota to the development of the association.
