Famous harry potter illustrious british actor alan rickman, severus snape, as fondly called passed away on thursday at the age of 69 after long battle with cancer.
he was famous for his iconic role as Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series which rose him to fame in 2001.
he is survived by his wife Rima Horton, whom he secretly wed around 2012 after 40 years together.
