Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets into Israel early Tuesday, exactly one year after the terrorist group launched an attack on the Jewish state the day after the October 7, 2023, massacre.
The northern Israeli city of Haifa had largely escaped attack until this week, but it came under the heaviest of attacks on Tuesday, when air defenses intercepted a barrage of about 85 rockets around noon.
Within 30 minutes, a second barrage of about 20 missiles targeted the city, the Israeli military said.

Some of the rockets were intercepted, and some impacts were confirmed.
The second explosion injured a woman in her 70s with shrapnel and also damaged several homes in the Haifa suburbs of Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin, The Times of Israel reported.

The woman, who was hit in the arm, was in mild to moderate condition after being hit, doctors said.
There were no other reports of injuries.
