The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Dele Momodu, has called on Nigerians to sympathize with the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Simu Hubala, amid the crisis rocking the state.
Recall that Mr Hubala and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, were embroiled in a crisis over the political structure of the country.
The results of the local government elections and the destruction of the LG secretariat reignited the crisis.
Naija News reports that while commenting on a video of Wike scolding former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Momodu said the showdown between Wike and his successor was strange.
In a post via X, the veteran journalist said those in power should be aware of the effects of tyranny.
“Many people cannot understand or understand why we warn our friends not to abuse their power, but the reason is simple: the effects of tyranny are usually devastating, and we struggle to do so.” It could even jeopardize the democracy we have won.
“Life should not be all about power. Here, Governor Nyesom Wike reprimands his former boss, Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
“This is why we find his struggle with Governor Simu Fubara so strange. I have never had a personal relationship with FUBARA. worth it.”
